A Methodology for the Analysis and Design of Multi-Agent Systems using JADE
نویسندگان
چکیده
A methodology is proposed for the development of multi-agent systems using the JADE platform. The proposed methodology focuses on the key issues in the analysis and design of multi-agent systems. The analysis phase is generic in nature, while the design phase specifically focuses on the constructs provided by the popular FIPA-compliant JADE platform. The methodology essentially serves as a guide, providing a direction for the multi-agent system designer, while also giving them the opportunity to add or remove components as desired, based on the specific problem domain. In contrast to current methodologies, support is also provided for existing systems and people to be included and accounted for in the multi-agent system. The methodology is illustrated by applying it to a hypothetical but illustrative scenario. Moreover, it is presented in such a way that designers new to the field of agent-based computing and the JADE platform can quickly grasp the most important concepts in the development of a multi-agent system. Similarly, people currently familiar with the JADE platform can also benefit from the methodology, which, when applied, should lead to a significant reduction in system development time.

Voltage Coordination of FACTS Devices in Power Systems Using RL-Based Multi-Agent Systems
This paper describes how multi-agent system technology can be used as the underpinning platform for voltage control in power systems. In this study, some FACTS (flexible AC transmission systems) devices are properly designed to coordinate their decisions and actions in order to provide a coordinated secondary voltage control mechanism based on multi-agent theory. Each device here is modeled as ...
متن کاملMethod integration: An approach to develop agent oriented methodologies
Agent oriented software engineering (AOSE) is an emerging field in computer science and proposes some systematic ideas for multi agent systems analysis, implementation and maintenance. Despite the various methodologies introduced in the agent-oriented software engineering, the main challenges are defects in different aspects of methodologies. According to the defects resulted from weaknesses ...
متن کاملBridging the Gap Between Agent-Oriented Design and Implementation Using MDA
Current agent-oriented methodologies focus mainly on multi-agent systems analysis and design, but without providing straightforward connections to the implementation of such systems on any of the existing agent platforms (e.g. FIPA-OS, Jade, or Zeus), or just forcing the use of specific agent platforms. In this paper we show how the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) can be effectively used to der...

In this paper, the design of a distributed adaptive controller for a class of unknown non-affine MIMO strict-feedback multi agent systems with time delay has been performed under a directed graph. The controller design is based on dynamic surface control method. In the design process, radial basis function neural networks (RBFNNs) were employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. S...

Multi-agent systems (MAS) are becoming popular for modeling complex systems such as supply chains. However, development of multi-agent systems remain quite involved and extremely time consuming. Currently, there exist no generic methodologies for modeling supply chains using multi-agent systems. In this research, we propose a generic process-centered methodological framework, Multi-Agent Supply...
